Govino has been selected to be the glass of choice for Sir Richard Branson' Australian Home, Makepeace Island in Noosa, on Queensland's glorious Sunshine Coast. Govino was chosen due to its environmental features, low carbon footprint and its 100% BPA FREE properties. Resort management were looking for an alternative to glass for safety reasons, but still wanted guests to enjoy drinking their fantastic Australian wines.

Govino Wins SILVER IDEA Medal at 2010 International Design Excellence Awards

Govino announced today that the govino wine glass received a Silver International Design Excellence Award.

As the jurors recognized, govino is an elegant and innovative take on the traditional wine glass. It is a new brand of stem-less wine glass, giving both the wine consumer and the wine industry a shatterproof wine glass that looks and performs like hand-blown crystal but at a fraction of the price. The govino wine glass is made of a high-quality, proprietary, food/pharmaceutical safe BPA-free PETG, which reflects the wine's color and aromatics much like crystal.
